Instead of making a New Year’s resolution I ask a question. It’s not really a question aimed at God with a demand in my heart that He must answer. It’s usually something that I have determined to ask, study in my Bible and observe as the year passes.
One year, my question was “What does it really look like to trust God?” I studied trust in the Bible, asked friends who I felt did this well and prayed for an answer.
The past two years have been asking the same question and it will probably stay that way for awhile.
What is the question?
The question I’ve been asking is “Who is God?” As in, what is his nature? What does he love? What does he hate? What does He want us to know about Him?
This question will be the driving force behind the Bible study that accompanies my 2020 Calendar this year.
The past few years have been spiritually eye-opening for me. I am studying other religions, reading books about new topics and listening to some educated people discuss Christian truths I had taken for granted. As I read the Bible now, it is not just to better my life, help others around me or be a better person. Reading God’s word is so I can know Him better.
I’m including scriptures with my art this year, along with a free Bible study as a small way to share His Word. I hope the scriptures bring blessings to you throughout the year and the Bible study will encourage you to seek and find the truth He has spoken to us.
Cheers and blessings,
